10 Aug The Wildcat brand turns 30!
Wildcat was born in Brighton in 1989 and its founder’s name is John Donaghue. As early as 1986, John had begun to design and work on a jewelry line that would later become piercing jewelry. The company quickly expanded throughout Europe and in 1990 Wildcat launched the first major innovation, the “Flesh Tunnel”. A curiosity: John chooses the name Wildcat, while watching a documentary about the wilds cat on TV.
1996 • Wildcat Deutschland is born: Wildcat begins the production of its collection in Germany, in state-of-the-art factories. This choice will lead the company to be the first to develop the technique that allows the final processing of TITANIUM jewelry as we know it today.
2002 • Wildcat is still a leading player on the market becoming the official producer of the jewelery for the film “THE LORD OF THE RINGS”… including the famous ring!
2010 • For the first time Wildcat offers a printed catalog and the collaboration with the guys of Miami Ink, one of the most renowned tattoo studios in the world, is born.
2011 • Another worldwide patent is filed: HEALIUM is in fact the new line of jewelry made with an antimicrobial material and an adjuvant technology for the healing of the piercing itself.
2015 • After the transfer of the headquarters to Gronau in Germany and the opening of several stores, Wildcat is confirmed as a global leader in the production and distribution of piercing jewelry!
